A recognition from the State
The Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development signed, in Yaoundé on August 17, 2026, decree n°000350/A/MINMIDT/SG/DAJ/DDQ granting accreditation to the laboratory of the Agri-Food Technical Center of Cameroon (CTA-CAM) as a conformity assessment body.
This accreditation confirms the rigor of CTA-CAM's technical platform, based in the Bali district of Douala. It is valid for three (3) years, renewable, and places the laboratory's activities under the oversight of the Ministry in charge of quality.
A broad scope of accreditation
The accreditation covers the full range of CTA-CAM's laboratory activities:
- Support for the development of standards
- Support for the implementation of agri-food standards and technical regulations
- Analysis, testing and evaluation of raw materials and finished agri-food products
- Auditing of Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP systems
- Use and promotion of the CTA logo and brand
- Training
What this means for our partners
For agri-food companies, this accreditation ensures that analyses, audits and certifications issued by CTA-CAM's laboratory now rely on official recognition from the Cameroonian State, an added guarantee of credibility for access to national and regional markets.
The decree shown above is the only document issued by the Ministry: it is, in itself, the official accreditation of CTA-CAM's laboratory.
