Who we are

CTA-CAM, serving the Cameroonian agri-food sector

The Agri-Food Technical Center of Cameroon (CTA-CAM) is an Economic Interest Group (GIE) under the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT). Its mission is to support Cameroonian agri-food companies in raising their competitiveness and quality.

Origins

The origins of CTA-CAM

As part of the policy to develop high-potential value chains and strengthen the competitiveness of Cameroonian companies, the Government of Cameroon, with the support of the Program to Improve the Competitiveness of the Cameroonian Economy (PACOM), funded by the 10th EDF, and the technical assistance of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), initiated the establishment of the Agri-Food Technical Center of Cameroon.

By Decision No. 278/MINEPAT/BMN/COPIL of January 5, 2015, the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development created a working group, chaired by the Director of the Business Upgrading Office (BMN), tasked with conducting preparatory studies and defining the institutional, legal and organizational framework of the Center.
